The Lakehead Social Planning Council is seeking proposals from organizations that aim to reduce or eliminate homelessness and/or to prevent homelessness for those at risk of homelessness. All proposals must comply with Service Canada’s Reaching Home Directives. The Reaching Home Directives can be found online.
A maximum of $254,639 is available for each fiscal year, with a combined total of $509,278 for fiscal years 2022/2024. There may be more than one successful applicant, in which case the maximum amount available will be divided between the successful applicants. The duration of the proposal must be for two fiscal years, beginning April 1, 2022, and ending March 31, 2024.
There is a limit of one proposal per organization. Organizations should be aware that they must agree to absorb any cost above the requested amount necessary to complete the project. In addition, they should be prepared to assume any ongoing operational and maintenance cost related to the project following its completion.
Proposals selected for funding will support recommendations in Thunder Bay’s Homelessness Community Plan found online here.
